LunaMood Terms of Use

Welcome to LunaMood.

LunaMood is a tool for period tracking, cycle reminders, physical and emotional check-ins, and self-care. Please read and understand these Terms of Use (the “Terms”) carefully before using LunaMood.

By registering, signing in, accessing, or using LunaMood, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of these Terms. If you do not agree to any provision, please stop using LunaMood.

1. Scope of these Terms

• These Terms apply to your access to and use of the LunaMood app and related services, including period tracking, cycle reminders, physical and emotional check-ins, self-care content, insights, membership services, and other related features.
• Our privacy practices are described separately in the LunaMood Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms and has the same effect.
• If you download LunaMood or purchase related services through the Apple App Store, you must also follow the applicable App Store rules. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew at the end of each subscription period until you cancel. The subscription period, price, and cancellation method are as shown in the App Store and your Apple Account settings.

2. Account registration and use

• You may register or sign in using a verification code sent to your phone number or another method supported by LunaMood.
• You must ensure that the information you provide when registering and using your account is true, accurate, and complete, and update it promptly when it changes.
• Your account is for your personal use only. Keep your account, verification codes, sign-in credentials, and device secure. You may not transfer, lend, rent, sell, or otherwise make your account available to another person.
• You are responsible for losses arising from your voluntary disclosure of verification codes or account information, or from security issues with your device, network environment, or third-party software, except where LunaMood is at fault.
• If we discover or reasonably believe that your account is subject to unusual sign-ins, unauthorized use, misuse, or a security risk, we may take reasonable steps to protect the account and service, such as requesting verification, restricting sign-ins, suspending certain features, or freezing the account.

3. Our services

LunaMood may provide the following services. The features available are those actually displayed in the app:

• Period tracking
  You can record flow intensity, period dates, and related information to review when periods start and end, how long they last, and changes in your cycle.
• Cycle reminders
  Based on information you choose to record and your settings, LunaMood may provide reminders about expected periods, logging, and self-care.
• Physical check-ins
  You can record physical experiences such as abdominal pain, lower back aches, tiredness, breast tenderness, and sleep.
• Emotional check-ins
  You can record changes in mood, emotional fluctuations, everyday feelings, and notes.
• PMS and premenstrual check-ins
  You can record premenstrual symptoms, how you feel during the luteal phase, and PMS-related changes for self-observation and cycle reviews.
• Self-care content
  LunaMood may provide relaxing audio, breathing exercises, body relaxation, and cognitive records for everyday companionship, relaxation practice, and self-observation.
• Insights
  LunaMood may use your period, symptom, emotional, and self-care records to generate cycle reviews, monthly summaries, and trend analyses.
• Membership or subscription services
  LunaMood may offer paid features, membership benefits, or subscriptions. Their content, prices, duration, cancellation methods, and applicable rules are as shown in the app and on the App Store.

4. Health and self-care services

• LunaMood is not a healthcare provider. Its period predictions, cycle reminders, symptom and emotional records, PMS-related content, self-care exercises, and insights are intended only for everyday logging, self-observation, general education, and lifestyle reference.
• LunaMood does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, psychotherapy, medication advice, or a basis for contraception, decisions about trying to conceive, determining pregnancy, or other medical decisions.
• Period predictions and insights may be affected by incomplete records, differences between individual cycles, lifestyle, changes in physical condition, and other factors. They may be inaccurate, delayed, or differ from actual events.
• If you experience unusual bleeding, severe pain, persistently irregular periods, suspected pregnancy, significant emotional distress, ongoing insomnia, severe anxiety, or other physical or mental discomfort, promptly consult a doctor, mental health professional, or other qualified professional.
• In a medical emergency, severe physical distress, a risk of self-harm, or another urgent danger, immediately contact local emergency services, a healthcare provider, trusted family or friends, or an appropriate emergency support service. Do not rely on LunaMood to handle emergencies.
• You understand and agree that LunaMood’s self-care content does not constitute medical care, psychological counseling, or professional treatment.

5. Your content and records

• You retain the rights you hold under law in the period records, physical and emotional check-ins, notes, cognitive records, and other content you enter, upload, or generate in LunaMood.
• To provide logging, synchronization, display, reminders, reviews, analysis, and backup services, you authorize us to store, process, display, calculate, and analyze your relevant content to the extent necessary for those services.
• We will not publicly display your personal records to other users without your authorization.
• You must ensure that the content you enter does not infringe anyone else’s lawful rights and does not contain unlawful, infringing, harassing, insulting, defamatory, vulgar, or violent material, illegal advertisements, malicious code, or other content that violates laws, regulations, public order, or good morals.
• If you use LunaMood to record information about another person, you must obtain lawful authorization and bear responsibility for doing so.

6. Acceptable use

When using LunaMood, you must not:

• Violate laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, public order, good morals, or these Terms.
• Impersonate another person, use someone else’s account without authorization, or use false information to register, sign in, or use LunaMood.
• Interfere with, damage, or attack LunaMood’s normal operation, including through viruses, Trojan horses, crawlers, automated scripts, malicious requests, reverse engineering, cracking, or bypassing security measures.
• Access, obtain, copy, modify, or delete LunaMood data or another user’s data without authorization.
• Use LunaMood to publish or distribute unlawful, infringing, harassing, discriminatory, insulting, defamatory, pornographic, violent, terrorist, gambling-related, fraudulent, or other inappropriate content.
• Use LunaMood for medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency assistance, unlawful transactions, commercial scraping, or unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Engage in other conduct that may harm LunaMood, other users, third parties, or the public interest.

If you violate these requirements, we may respond according to the circumstances by issuing reminders, removing content, restricting features, suspending services, or freezing or deleting your account. If the conduct constitutes an offense, we may report it to the relevant authorities as required by law.

7. Intellectual property

• Except for content lawfully owned by third parties or supplied by users, intellectual property rights in the LunaMood app and related services—including software, interface designs, icons, text, images, audio, video, algorithms, data structures, page layouts, trademarks, logos, brand names, and other content—belong to Yu Ting or the lawful rights holders.
• Without written permission from us or the relevant rights holder, you may not copy, modify, distribute, rent, sell, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, mirror, imitate, or otherwise use LunaMood-related content.
• You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to use LunaMood in accordance with these Terms.

8. Memberships, subscriptions, and paid services

• LunaMood may offer memberships, subscriptions, one-time purchases, or other paid services. The services, prices, validity periods, benefits, and restrictions are as displayed in the app and on the App Store.
• If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store, it will renew at the end of the current period unless you cancel within Apple’s required timeframe. You can view, manage, or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
• Subscription prices, trials, offers, renewal periods, cancellation rules, and refund rules are subject to the App Store and Apple’s applicable rules.
• Issues involving Apple payments, subscriptions, refunds, or account management may need to be resolved through your Apple Account or Apple Support. We will provide reasonable assistance where necessary.
• If changing your Apple ID, deleting the app, turning off notifications, failing to cancel a subscription, or similar circumstances cause renewal or access issues, Apple’s App Store subscription management rules apply.
• If LunaMood adjusts membership benefits because of service changes, feature upgrades, operational policies, or other reasons, we will notify you in a reasonable manner. We will protect your lawful rights in benefits you have already purchased that remain valid, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Privacy and personal information

• We take the protection of your personal information seriously, especially private information such as periods, physical condition, emotional records, and PMS-related records.
• We collect, use, store, protect, and manage your personal information in accordance with the LunaMood Privacy Policy.
• Please read the LunaMood Privacy Policy carefully before using LunaMood. By using LunaMood, you acknowledge that you understand how we process your personal information.
• To access, correct, or delete personal information, withdraw authorization, or delete your account, contact us using the methods described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Use by minors

• LunaMood is not specifically directed at children under 14.
• If you are under 14, use LunaMood with the consent and guidance of a parent or other guardian.
• Minors should take particular care to protect their privacy when using LunaMood and should not casually share accounts, verification codes, physical or emotional records, or other private information.
• If a guardian discovers that a minor is using LunaMood or providing personal information without consent, the guardian may contact us using the details in these Terms. We will handle the matter in accordance with the law.

11. Changes, interruptions, and termination of services

• We may adjust some of LunaMood’s features, pages, content, rules, or service formats to improve the experience, maintain security, or accommodate business development.
• LunaMood services may be interrupted, delayed, incorrect, or unavailable because of system maintenance, server, network, or device failures, third-party service issues, force majeure, changes in laws or regulations, or other reasonable causes.
• We will make efforts to maintain service continuity and stability, but do not promise that LunaMood will always be uninterrupted, entirely error-free, or meet all your needs.
• If you no longer wish to use LunaMood, you may stop using it or request account deletion.
• If you violate these Terms or applicable laws, or infringe another person’s lawful rights, we may suspend or terminate some or all services provided to you.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, you understand and agree that:

• LunaMood provides services using its existing technology and capabilities. We do not guarantee that every feature is entirely accurate, continuous, error-free, or suitable for every personal circumstance.
• LunaMood’s period predictions, cycle reminders, trend analyses, PMS-related content, and insight reports are for everyday logging and self-observation only. They do not constitute medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or professional judgments.
• You should consult a qualified professional about any significant decision you make based on LunaMood content concerning health, medical care, medication, contraception, trying to conceive, pregnancy, mental well-being, or other important matters, and you bear responsibility for your decisions.
• We do not accept liability beyond that required by law for inaccurate reminders, discrepancies in data, or unavailable services resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information, delayed entries, mistakes in use, device or network issues, disabled system permissions, or third-party service issues.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are exempt from liability for losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as force majeure, changes in laws or regulations, government actions, cyberattacks, communication failures, or third-party platform or service issues.

13. Limitation of liability

• If you suffer a loss because of our actions, we will bear the liability required by law.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages, loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Third-party services

• LunaMood may integrate the Apple App Store, SMS verification services, cloud services, crash analysis, analytics, audio content services, or other third-party services.
• Third-party services are provided by their respective providers and may be subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies.
• Third parties bear the liability required by law for issues arising from their own services, including service failures, data processing, payments, subscriptions, and refunds. We will provide reasonable assistance in resolving such issues.

15. App Store provisions

If you download, purchase, or use LunaMood through the Apple App Store, the following provisions apply:

• These Terms are between you and Yu Ting only. Apple is not a party to these Terms.
• Apple is not responsible for LunaMood’s maintenance, support, content, services, warranties, or user claims.
• If LunaMood fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may seek the appropriate remedy from Apple under its rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple-related provisions of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple may enforce those provisions as a third-party beneficiary.
• Your use of LunaMood must also comply with the Apple App Store terms, Apple Media Services terms, and other applicable rules.

16. Changes to these Terms

• We may revise these Terms in response to laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, product features, or operational circumstances.
• We will notify you of material changes through in-app dialogs, page notices, messages, or other reasonable methods.
• Continuing to use LunaMood after a change takes effect means that you accept the updated Terms.
• If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using LunaMood and request account deletion or address unexpired benefits under the applicable rules.

17. Notices and contact

• We may send service-related notices through in-app notifications, dialogs, page announcements, SMS, email, or other reasonable methods.
• You must keep your contact information valid. You are responsible for the consequences of not receiving information because your contact details are inaccurate or you do not check notices promptly.

18. Governing law and dispute resolution

• The formation, validity, performance, interpretation, and resolution of disputes under these Terms are governed by the laws of mainland China.
• The parties will first seek to resolve disputes arising from these Terms or LunaMood services through amicable discussions.

19. General provisions

• If any provision is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
• Headings are provided for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
• The final interpretation and application of these Terms are subject to the limits permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
